At RHS, we take the time to learn the needs and wants of the people we serve. We understand the importance of exercising their individual rights and most importantly, their freedom of choice. In addition to this, we also understand that freedom of choice is essential in our consumer’s ability to live as independently as possible. We encourage family members and close friends to support, participate and become involved in the care of the individual. We want the individuals and family members to feel safe, comfortable, and satisfied with our services.
At RHS, we utilize verbal, non-verbal, gesture, picture, sight, touch and writing communication techniques in order to effectively communicate with individuals. We communicate through HPC documentation, skill development progress notes, nurse notes, QA reports, MUI/UI reports, and staff notes. We believe that communication is the #1 tool to provide accurate, tailored, precise and consistent services to individuals.
At RHS, we believe that it is our responsibility to educate consumers about their individual rights and their freedom of choice. We will educate them on healthy meal planning, choosing healthy foods, snacks, and also teach them how to prepare healthy meals. We educate them on their medication, its uses and side effects. We will also teach and demonstrate new and current skill developments. We also teach them how to manage and budget their finances.
At RHS, we will motivate individuals to be the best they can be. We will motivate them to work hard towards accomplishing their goals. We will encourage them to make good choices and wise decisions. We will motivate them to trust and believe in themselves by participating in activities and vocational day programs. We help them pursue job opportunities, keeping in touch with family members and the people around them.
We protect the privacy and integrity of all individuals we serve. This includes all medical records, financial logs, ISP's, HPC's and personal information. All personal information is only available to authorized personnel.
